No. 8 Iowa State men crush Colorado
January 30th, 2026 by Ric Hanson
The eighth ranked Iowa State men raced out to a 30-4 lead at the outset and crushed Colorado 97-67, Thursday night, in Ames. The Cyclones shot better than 61 percent to move to 6-2 in the Big 12. For the Cyclones, slow starts are no longer an issue.
That’s ISU coach T.J. Otzelberger. The Cyclones held the Buffaloes to eight-of-24 shooting in the opening half and won the battle on the glass 38-22 to improve to 19-2 overall.
The Cyclones return to action Sunday at Kansas State.
