The Iowa Hawkeye women are 8-0 in the Big Ten for the first time in 30 years. The 10th ranked Hawkeyes outscored 15th ranked Maryland 12-5 in overtime, Thursday, to beat the Terrapins 85-78. Maryland forced the extra session by rallying from a 17-point deficit with three minutes to play.

That’s Iowa coach Jan Jensen. The Hawkeyes held Maryland scoreless the final three-and-a-half minutes over overtime to move to 17-2 overall.

The Hawkeyes led 66-49 with just over three minutes remaining before Maryland roared back.
