A bad start was too much to overcome for second ranked Iowa State. Kansas raced out to a 26-point first half lead and beat the Cyclones 84-63, Tuesday night, handing them their first loss after 16 wins to start the season.

That’s ISU coach T.J. Otzelberger. The Cyclones made a bit of a run in the second half but could get no closer than 11 points.

Otzelberger says the Cyclones were not able to generate enough turnovers to ignite the offense.

The Cyclones are 3-1 in the Big 12 and will try to bounce back Saturday at Cincinnati.
