HOWARD SORENSEN, 91, of Elk Horn, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at the Salem Lutheran Home, in Elk Horn. Funeral services for HOWARD SORENSEN will be held 11-a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church (in Elk Horn, IA). Ohde Funeral Home in Kimballton has the arrangements.

Visitation with the family greeting friends will be held at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church, on Sunday (Nov. 23rd) from 2-until 4-p.m.

A Private family burial with military honors will be held in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Howard’s name.

His wife – Karma Sorensen, of Elk Horn.

His daughters – Marcia (Bruce) Roenfeld, of Panora; Diane (Richard) Larson, of Atlantic; Janell (Wayne) Hansen, and Stacie (Ryan) Larsen, all of Elk Horn.

His sons – Thomas (Karen) Sorensen, of Bellevue, NE,Larry Nguyen and family, of Grandview, IA.

14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his brother-and sister in-law, other extended family members and friends.
