The Exira-EHK Girls’ Basketball team is excited to begin a new basketball season in just a few weeks. After falling in a one-point loss in the regional final a year ago, Spartan Head Coach Tom Petersen says the team has put work in the offseason in all sorts of ways that began this past summer.

The Spartans return their top three scorers from last year in Taryn and Jaelynn Petersen alongside Senior Kadence Sporrer, but Exira-EHK lost two key seniors in the offseason as well. Petersen believes the experience in the starting lineup will help in the long run.

The chemistry only gets stronger with the years of experience increasing.

Exira-EHK opens up the regular season in a home game against Riverside on Monday, December 1st.
