NICKOLAS JOHN HESS, 65, of Harlan, died Tue., Nov. 11, 2025, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan. A visitation for NICKOLAS HESS will be held from 2-until 4-p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at the Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.

His wife – Lisa Hess, of Harlan.

His sons – Brad (Katelyn Deeds) Hess, of Harlan, and Brandon (April Staudt) Hess, of Marble Rock, IA.

His daughters – Candi Hess, and Mindy Hess, both of Fulton, MO; Lexee (Tyler Keeling) Hess, of Clarksville, IA; and Ava Tyler, of Waterloo, IA.

His step-children: Scott Swank, of Pomona, KS, and Emily Swank, of Jacksonville, TX.

His step-father: Mike Durnan, of Arlington, IA.

His brother – Don Dales.

His sisters – Rhonda Dales and Grace Durnan.

7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and one on the way; other relatives and friends.
