FLORA LaVON ANDERSEN, 83, of Elk Horn, died Friday, November 07, 2025, at Salem Lutheran Homes in Elk Horn. Funeral services for LaVon ANDERSEN will be held 10:30-a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12th, at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church (In Elk Horn, IA). Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic has the arrangements.

Public visitation at the funeral home will be held from 5-until 7-p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Interment will take place following the funeral at the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery.

Following burial, a luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Elk Horn Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in memory of Lavon. They may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.

Her husband – Ivan Andersen, Elk Horn.

Her son – Loren Christensen, of Elk Horn;

Her Stepdaughters – Cindy Gregory, of Clarinda, and Gina (Dale) Hansen, of Jacksonville.

Her Stepson – Neil (Stacy) Andersen, of Elk Horn;

Her in-laws, other relatives and friends.

19 step-grandchildren.
