Iowa Valley Set for Quarterfinal Matchup with Audubon
November 5th, 2025 by Jack McGonigal
The Iowa Valley Football team is set for their quarterfinal playoff matchup at home against Audubon. The Tigers enter the game 10-0 without giving up a single point in the postseason. Iowa Valley comes off a 63-0 win over Janesville and Head Coach Casey Krull says his team has played really well as of late.
The Tigers opened up playoff play with a 64-0 win over Moravia. Krull says he has noticed the discipline and how his team pays attention to detail.
The 10-0 Tigers are led by Junior Quarterback Nolan Kriegel who is tied for a state leading 41 rushing touchdowns this season and has thrown for 12 as well. Krull complimented the way he stays poised behind center.
The luxury for the Tigers to have several key pieces around Kriegel has been huge for Iowa Valley.
On the defensive side of the football, The Tigers have four players with at least 39 tackles on the year. Krull knows his unit will have to play very well in order to advance.
The Audubon Wheelers and Iowa Valley Tigers will compete for a spot in the Eight-Man semifinals and a trip to the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls. You can hear all the coverage on KJAN beginning at 6 P.M. Thursday night with kickoff scheduled for 7 P.M. from Marengo.
