COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Two University of Iowa women’s tennis student-athletes are set to compete in the ITA Division I Sectional Championships, from Nov. 6–10 at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.

Senior Daianne Hayashida will represent the Hawkeyes in singles, while Hayashida and Tereza Dejnozkova will team up in doubles play.

Competition begins Thursday.

“I’m proud of Daianne and Tereza for qualifying for sectionals,” said Iowa head coach Sasha Boros. “It’s an honor to be selected in this elite tournament with the best competitors in our section. It’s another great opportunity for them to compete against some of the best. We’re looking forward to a great weekend for both of them.”
