The Audubon Football team is set for a second home playoff game this season against the Montezuma Braves. The Wheelers won their opening playoff game against Lenox 58-20. Wheeler Head Coach Sean Birks says the home field is deserving after the successful regular season.

Birks says creating a consistent run game is critical in the matchup with Montezuma.

The Wheelers share a state leading number of 62 rushing touchdowns on the season and have the third most rushing yards at the eight-player level. The Wheelers are led by Sophomore Aiden Kjergaard who has rushed for 1,089 yards and 25 touchdowns. Behind him, two more sophomores in Mason Kasperbauer and Paxton Beane have both ran for more than 450 yards this season.

In the preparation for the Braves, Birks says Montezuma will feature disciplined football and a diverse playbook.

You can catch all the action on KJANTV from Audubon with coverage beginning at 6:30 P.M. and kickoff is scheduled for 7 P.M..
