Iowa Announces 2025-26 Schedule

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa Director of Track and Field Joey Woody announced the 2025-26 schedule on Monday. Iowa will host four indoor meets at the Hawkeye Indoor Track Facility and one outdoor meet at the Francis X. Cretzmeyer Track.
The Hawkeyes open the indoor season at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Opener in Boston on Dec. 6. Iowa will host its first of four indoor meets on Dec. 13 with the Jimmy Grant Alumni Invitational & Multi. After winter break, Iowa welcomes programs for the Hawkeye Invitational on Jan. 10. The annual Larry Wieczorek Invitational will take place on Jan. 23-24. The team will host the Iowa Open on Feb. 20 in preparation for the postseason.
Iowa will travel to several premier meets during indoor season, including the Meyo Invitational (Jan. 30-31), New Mexico Collegiate Classic (Feb. 6-7) and the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 13-14).
The Big Ten Indoor Championships are hosted in Indianapolis for the second consecutive year and will take place Feb. 27- March 1. This year’s NCAA Indoor Championships will be held in Fayetteville, Arkansas, March 13-14.
Outdoor season commences with the UCF Invite in Orlando, Florida, on March 20-21. Iowa will spend a majority of early April in California across four meets. After meets in California, Florida and Nebraska, Iowa will return to the Hawkeye State for the Drake Relays (April 22-25) and the Kip Janvrin Invitational (April 24-26).
Iowa hosts its lone outdoor meet with the Musco Twilight on May 2.
Postseason competition begins with the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska, on May 15-17. The NCAA Outdoor First Rounds will be in Fayetteville, Arkansas, May 27-30. The season concludes with the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, from June 10-13.
