Hawkeyes Release Complete 2025-26 Schedule

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Head coach Tom Brands released the complete University of Iowa men’s wrestling schedule for the 2025-26 season on Thursday. The Hawkeyes will host six duals inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena this season. Times and TV designations will be announced at a later date.

Notes about the 2025-26 season:

  • Iowa opens the season at home facing Bellarmine on Nov. 6. The Hawkeyes also host Pittsburgh (Nov. 21), and face Chattanooga and Utah Valley in Hannibal, Missouri (Dec. 12) as part of the Journeymen Wrestling’s “Uncivil War”.
  • The Hawkeyes will travel to Iowa State (Nov. 30) and Oklahoma State (Feb. 22) in nonconference road duals.
  • Iowa will compete at the National Duals Invitational on Nov. 15-16 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Iowa faces Missouri in the opening round at 9 a.m. (CT).
  • The Hawkeyes will kick off 2026 at the Soldier Salute, held Jan. 3–4 at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.
  • The Hawkeyes host Wisconsin (Jan. 9), Penn State (Jan. 16), Minnesota (Jan. 30) and Michigan (Feb. 13) in Big Ten duals at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
  • Iowa travels for league road duals at Nebraska (Jan. 23), Ohio State (Feb. 6), Michigan State (Feb. 8) and Purdue (Feb. 15).
  • The postseason begins at the Big Ten Championships on March 7-8 in State College, Pennsylvania, while the 2025 NCAA Championships will be held from March 19-21 in Cleveland.

Iowa is coming off a 2024-25 season where it posted a 14-1 overall and 7-1 Big Ten mark. The Hawkeyes placed third at the Big Ten Championships and fourth at the NCAA Championships with five All-Americans and one National Champion. Iowa led the nation in attendance for the 18th straight year.
