GERALD “JERRY” DUANE PETERSEN, 88, of Audubon, died October 5, 2025, at the Friendship Home in Audubon. A public visitation with the family of JERRY PETERSEN present, will be held from 5-until 7-p.m. Thursday, October 16th (2025), at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Audubon.

A private graveside service will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Adel.

Memorials can be made in his name and will be designated at a later date.

His sons -Daniel (Kasandra) Petersen, of Ankeny; Ricky (Annette) Petersen, of Hertel, WI; Scott Petersen, of Cedar Rapids.

His daughters – Cynthia (Jon) Wedemeyer, of Waukee, and Crystal (Garry) Carlson, of Newell.

His brother – Wayne “Lefty” (and wife Jeanette) Petersen.

His sisters – Elizabeth Schrader, and Marilyn Anderson.

24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; in-laws, other relatives and friends.
