THIS WEEK
The University of Iowa men’s golf team is set to travel to Chicago, Illinois to compete in the Highlands Invitational Sept. 15-16 at Chicago Highlands Club.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The 54-hole tournament tees off on Monday and continues Tuesday with 54-holes being played through two days. The start time for the tournament is yet to be announced.

THE FIELD
13 schools will be competing in this year’s Highlands Invitational: Virginia Commonwealth, UTSA, Yale, Loyola Chicago, East Tennessee State, Louisiana, Iowa, Wake Forest, Louisiana Tech, Davidson, Coastal Carolina, DePaul, and Eastern Michigan.
– The first rankings of the 2025-26 season will be published in October.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Hawkeyes competed in the Highlands Invitational in 2023, their second tournament of the season.
– The event made its debut that year, hosted by Wake Forest.

THE COURSE
Spanning 7,490 yards, Chicago Highlands Club is ranked the number one golf course in the state of Illinois and number nine in the country by GolfDigest. GolfDigest also rated hole nine as one of the best hole designs in America. Designed by Arthur Hills, who designed more than 200 golf courses, Chicago Highlands Club is a links-style course with a stunning view of the Chicago skyline.
