IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa field hockey junior Dionne van Aalsum has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman Felicia Zonnenberg has earned Freshman of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday.

This marks the fifth career weekly honor for van Aalsum and the first for Zonnenberg.

Van Aalsum scored eight goals and recorded 16 points across two games as Iowa defeated Kent State and Queens. She now has 11 goals on the season.

The Castricum, Netherlands, native is tied for fifth among active Division I players with 42 career goals in 39 games — the only player in the top 10 with fewer than 40 games played.

Zonnenberg, a Maarn, Netherlands, native, tallied one goal and five assists for seven points, finishing with a perfect 1.000 shot-on-goal percentage.

Iowa (3-1) travels to Louisville, Kentucky, this weekend to face Miami (Ohio) on Friday at 2:30 p.m. (CT) and Louisville on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
