The Southwest Valley Boys Tennis team is at the halfway point of the 2025 season and are looking to stay positive and improve as the season progresses. The Timberwolves are looking for their first win of the season, but the athletes are still enjoying their time on the court. Head Coach Steve McGrew appreciates the effort.

Southwest Valley fields a nine-man roster led by Seniors JP Jones and Matthew Means.

Junior Quaid Eddy has one victory on the season along with freshmen Carson Boswell and Carter Giles have a victory of their own as well.

The Timberwolves opened up the season with two matches at home against Harlan in a nail-biting 5-4 loss and a 9-0 loss to Glenwood. After that, the Timberwolves hit the road for another 5-4 loss this time against Creston.  McGrew says despite still looking for the first victory, there have been bright spots in competition.

Southwest Valley looks to build confidence and momentum heading into the second half of the season.
