CAM Boys Golf Has Depth, High Expectations for Spring Campaign
March 27th, 2025 by Christian Adams
The CAM Cougars Boys Golf team is on a mission this season. Head Coach Joe Wollum says the team’s depth, grit, determination and work ethic has been exceptional so far this season seeming to make it a very competitive season. CAM fields an eight-man roster with only six spots at each competition. Wollum believes it is going to be a fight week in and week out for who gets to play.
The Cougars are led by last year’s Class 1A State-Runner Up, Senior Chase Jahde. Jahde shot one under par at the State Tournament last year and only lost by one stroke. A big senior class is expected to follow Jahde for the Cougars this season as Coby Venteicher, Austin Eblen, Chase Spieker are going to be big pieces for CAM this Spring as well.
The first four competition of the year are on CAM’s home course this year. The season begins April 1st in a triangular against Exira-EHK and AHSTW. Wollum says that is a great way to boost confidence early.
Expect CAM to be contenders in many of the tournaments they play this Spring as they will be searching for some hardware every time they hit the links.
