Audubon Girls Golf Anticipate Promising Spring Season
March 26th, 2025 by Christian Adams
The Audubon Girls Golf team is set for the 2025 spring season with nine-meet slate including five on their home course. Audubon fields two seniors, one junior and one freshman this season. Senior Mari Gleason is out for her fourth year on the team after medaling in a few meets last year. Head Coach Drew Christensen says the team has picked up right where they left off from a year ago and is pleased with what he has seen so far.
The Wheelers kick off the season with a dual vs. AHSTW in Audubon on April 7th. The Wheelers have four golfers out this year and are currently in their second week of practice as a group.
Outside of the season opener, Audubon hosts Riverside, Underwood, Griswold and Missouri Valley at home. Christensen says that is a major confidence booster for his team.
Gleason’s experience will be crucial for the Wheelers this season.
Christensen says shooting a 45-50 will put you in good shape more often than not.
The Wheelers will look to gain experience and confidence as the spring progresses.
