CAM Girls Seeking to Continue Uptick in 2025
January 3rd, 2025 by Christian Adams
The CAM Cougars girls basketball team is looking to keep heading in the right direction heading into 2025. Despite losing four of their first five games of the season, the Cougars won back-to-back games to close out 2024. This included a 51-49 win over third place Boyer Valley. Head coach Joe Wollum said he’s been very happy with the way his team has pursued improvement.
CAM is a young team, sporting a roster with just three seniors. Along with the continued improvement Wollum has also been happy with a number of pleasant surprises.
Another big piece for the Cougars is senior Maddie Richter. She currently leads the team in scoring averaging 15.3 points. She also is atop the team in takeaways nabbing 2.7 steals per game. Wollum has been impressed with her ability to shot and get into the paint while saying that her abilities are also creating opportunities for others.
The main goal for the cougars in 2025, continue to improve while learning how to win.
Up next the Cougars will kick off 2025 with a conference matchup against Glidden-Ralston. Wollum says he’s expecting a tough battle.
That game in Anita is schedule for 6 pm on Friday.
