The IHSAA has decided to postpone Friday’s Championship Football games until Monday November 23. The decision was made based upon the National Weather Service forecast and the winter storm warning that has been issued for tomorrow.

Monday’s games will follow the same schedule:

  • Class 1-A:  Regina, Iowa City (12-1) vs. Western Christian, Hull (11-2) – 11:06 AM
  • Class 2-A:  Mount Vernon (11-2) vs. Spirit Lake (13-0) – 2:06 PM
  • Class 4-A:  Cedar Rapids, Kennedy (13-0) vs. Dowling Catholic, WDM (12-0) – 7:06 PM

The welfare of teams traveling home on Friday in conjunction with the safety of fans traveling contributed to decision.

Tickets sold for Friday’s games will be honored on Monday.
