JOHN STURDY, 86, of Fontanelle, died Monday, September 16th, at his home in Fontanelle.  Funeral services for JOHN STURDY will be held 1:30-p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21st, at the Fontanelle United Methodist Church. Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle has the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 3-until 7-p.m. Friday, September 20th at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 5-until 7-p.m.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Burial is in the Greenfield Cemetery, with full military graveside rites by the Fontanelle American Legion Carlson Post No. 247.  A luncheon will be held at the church following the committal services at the cemetery. 

Memorials may be directed to John Sturdy memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.

His son – Mike (Laura) Sturdy, of Bridgewater.

His daughters – Mary Shannon Sturdy-Martin and husband Mick, of Fontanelle, and Eva Marie Sturdy-Hess and husband Jay, of Greenfield.

5 grandchildren; one great grandson; other relatives and friends.
