Cumberland Firefighters were called to a reported anhydrous leak just before 7-a.m. today at the 21st Century Co-Op. Assistant Fire Chief Brad Penton has informed KJAN that the leak was from a valve left open on a tank, and the situation was under control. Penton added that, “There are times that these tanks will vent due to temperature changes but this was not the case.” More than likely, he said, “Someone was stealing some and didn’t get the valve shut completely off.”
