The CAM girls basketball team forced the Essex Trojanettes into 26 turnovers and turned most of those into points on their way to a 72-12 win on Monday night in Anita. CAM raced out to a 19-3 lead by the end of the first quarter and then outscored Essex 23-5 in the second quarter. The Cougars would score first in the second half to get the running clock in place for the half.

Paige McAfee had a big night for CAM with 20 points. She benefited being the point of the press the Cougars employed and her teammates found her for easy buckets after a large number of steals. Madison Gettler finished with a big line: 15 points, 9 rebounds, 7 steals, and 7 assists.

CAM improves to 4-1 on the season and will travel to Ar-We-Va on Tuesday night before facing Exira-EHK in Elk Horn on Friday.

Essex was lead by 6 points from Peyton Brammer and they fall to 1-4 on the season.
