ALICE MARY ESSER, 81, of Earling, died Thu., Jan. 15th, at home. A Mass of Christian Burial service for ALICE ESSER will be held 10:30-a.m. Tue., Jan. 20th, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 2-until 9-pm, with the family greeting friends from 6-to 8-p.m.  A Wake service takes place place at the funeral home Monday, beginning at 7-p.m.

Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Earling.

Her daughters – Kathy (Dick) Herrick, of Charles City; Joan (Tim) Christensen, of Bennington, NE; Jean (Dick) Musfeldt, of Irwin, & Ann Clemons, of Harlan.

Her son – Lyle Esser, of Earling.

Her sisters – Annie (Delbert) Rueschenberg, of Westphalia, & Rita Finken, of Harlan.

Her brothers – Jake Hastert, of Harlan, & Joe (Georgianna) Hastert, of Panama.
