CAM agrees to share Superintendent with Nodaway Valley

News

May 20th, 2014 by Ric Hanson

The CAM School District’s Board of Education Monday evening, unanimously voted to move forward with a Superintendent sharing agreement with the neighboring Nodaway Valley Community School Disrict. The Nodaway Valley Board made a similar decision on May 8th.

Both Boards will meet sometime over the course of the next couple of weeks to work out the details. The final agreement will allow both districts to benefit from cost savings and additional incentives from the State.

If the agreement between CAM and Nodaway Valley moves to completion without any hitches, CAM Superintendent Steve Pelzer will announce his retirement at the June 16th Board meeting, meaning the districts would share the services of Nodaway Valley Superintendent Casey Berlau beginning with the 2014-2015 School year.
