Iowa State hoopster suspended after OWI arrest

Iowa State basketball player Abdel Nader has been suspended indefinitely after being arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated Saturday, April 12th in Ames.  Iowa State head men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg suspended Nader in accordance with the Iowa State student-athlete code of conduct policy.  Nader is a forward that transferred this past season to Iowa State from Northern Illinois and was sitting out per NCAA transfer rules.  Nader would be eligible to play for the Cyclones next season.
