The Southwest Iowa Narcotics Task force reports 5 Council Bluffs businesses have been cited for selling alcohol to a minor.

On Thursday, members of the task force conducted an undercover operation into the illegal sale of alcohol to minors in Council Bluffs.  A total of 15 businesses were checked, with five making a sale to a minor.

The task force says five criminal citations were issued for selling alcohol to a minor to Shenanigan’s, 1892 German Ber Haus, Quaker Steak and Lube, Do Rock Inn, and T’z Tavern.  They say the 10 businesses checked that were in compliance include Goofy’s Corner, Fiddlin Moneky, Barley’s, Glory Days, Railway Inn, O’Face Bar, Dusty’s Bar, Caddy Shack, Breakway Bar, and J & B Lounge.

The operation was conducted with assistance of two, 19 year-old females and one, 19 year-old male.

The Southwest Iowa Narcotics Task force says this type of operation is ongoing and they will continue to check businesses in the future.
