SOUTHWESTERN ADAIR COUNTY, ADAMS COUNTY AND CASS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST IOWA…UNTIL 700 PM CDT

* AT 609 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL…AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 5 MILES NORTH OF RED OAK…OR 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ATLANTIC…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…

GRISWOLD…CORNING…NODAWAY…LEWIS…CARBON…CUMBERLAND WIOTA…PRESCOTT…MASSENA…BRIDGEWATER…ANITA AND FONTANELLE.

PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS…FALLING TREES AND FLYING DEBRIS. MOVE INDOORS AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. IF YOU ARE IN A MOBILE HOME…SEEK SHELTER IN A REINFORCED BUILDING. A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING.
