IOWA CITY, Iowa – Former University of Iowa All-American and Super Bowl champion Bryan Bulaga will be inducted into the 2026 Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place on June 18 at the American Polish Cultural Center in Troy, Michigan.
Bulaga, who was an offensive lineman, will join other inductees Rob Gronkowski (football), David Legwand (hockey) and Dave Meyers (college men’s basketball).
In the three years with Bulaga in the line-up, Iowa won 26 games, including nine in 2008 and 11 in 2009. The Hawkeyes captured bowl wins over South Carolina (2009 Outback Bowl) and Georgia Tech (2010 Orange Bowl). The native of Crystal Lake, Illinois, was named the Big Ten Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year and was a first-team All-American by The Sporting News in 2009.
The Green Bay Packers selected Bulaga with the 23rd overall selection in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He earned 12 starts and played in 16 games his rookie season with the Packers, including the 2011 Super Bowl, and was named to the 2010 All-Rookie Team by Pro Football Weekly. Bulaga, at the time, became the youngest player to ever start in the Super Bowl.
Bulaga’s NFL career stretched over a decade with the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Chargers, and he was regularly recognized as one of the NFL’s top offensive linemen.
In 2023, Bulaga was selected as Iowa Football’s America Needs Farmers Wall of Honor recipient.
