The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders go 1-1 into week two facing CAM. The Crusaders come off a victory in week one from Twin Cedars with a score of 68 to nothing. Tucker Lewis, the sophomore quarterback, has so far thrown for 134 yards and has 170 rushing. Leading in rushing yards is sophomore Andrew McAlister. McAlister has run for 206 yards on the season and looks to continue a good start to the season this Friday. Also looking to keep things going offensively is the senior receiver Caden Oswald. Oswald has 97 receiving yards on the season and is averaging 13 yards per catch. On the defensive side of things Griffin Mohr, a sophomore for the Crusaders, has 10 tackles on the season with 2 sacks and right behind him is McAlister with 12.5 tackles. Head Coach Nathan Lindsay says this team so far has come in with the right mindset.
Coach Lindsay also likes how the team has held themselves accountable.
Lindsay believes their next game against CAM will not be a walk in the park.
