Northern Iowa men’s basketball coach Ben Jacobson says scheduling power conference foes has become even more difficult for mid-major programs in recent years. For several years power conference teams have avoided scheduling home and home series with programs like UNI and Jacobson says they are now not even willing to play them in holiday tournaments.

The Panthers have no power conference teams on their schedule for the upcoming season.

The Panthers will open the regular season at home against Cal State Northridge on November sixth.
