   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
     Western Iowa
     Eastern Nebraska

   * Effective this Thursday morning from 130 AM until 800 AM CDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 85
       mph likely
     Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible

   SUMMARY...A severe linear thunderstorm cluster will continue east
   into the Watch area during the overnight and move east into western
   Iowa during the early morning.  Scattered severe gusts 60 to 85 mph
   are expected with the more intense portions of the squall line.

   The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
   statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles west of
   Columbus NE to 65 miles east southeast of Denison IA. For a complete

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
   favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
   Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
   weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
   warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
   tornadoes.
