The Iowa Hawkeye baseball team will close the regular season by hosting Purdue in a three game Big Ten series beginning Thursday night at Principal Park in Des Moines. It is the third straight year the Hawkeyes have hosted a series at the home of the Iowa Cubs but it is the first time against a conference foe.
That’s Iowa coach Rick Heller who says moving the series to Des Moines gives constructions a head start on renovations to Banks Field in Iowa City.
Heller says he enjoys taking his team to Des Moines.
