Ty Gibbs took the lead with 20 laps remaining and held off teammate Christopher Bell to win the Iowa Corn 350. It was his second win in the NASCAR Cup Series this season.
Gibbs has moved into second in the Cup Series standings.
Gibbs is the grandson of team owner and former NFL coach Joe Gibbs.
It was a disappointing finish for Bell who was in search of his first win of the season. He had to settle for his seventh second place finish.
Bell made several runs at Gibbs but could not get by.
Cup series leader Denny Hamlin battled brake issues all weekend. He started 29th but roared through the field to finish with a satisfying fifth place.
Hamlin was not sure the car would even be able to finish the race.
