The Minnesota Twins play the Philadelpia Phillies tomorrow (Thursday) at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville. This is the third Major League game to be played in the farm-field venue made famous by the 1989 movie. Jeremiah Yolkut — senior vice president of global events for Major League Baseball — says the Twins got the spot for several reasons.
The Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox were featured in the previous M-L-B “Field of Dreams” games in 2021 and 2022. Yolkut says having one of the teams within driving distance of Iowa is a consideration.
Tomorrow (Thursday) night’s game in Dyersville has playoff implications for both clubs.
