The Standard for Riverside Football Remains the Same in 2026

The Riverside Bulldogs football team went 6-2 during the regular season in 2025 and came up just short in their first-round playoff matchup with BGM, losing 35-30. They will need to replace over 2300 yards of rushing that came from seniors last season. The Bulldogs have 10 seniors on their current roster. They are coached this season by first year head coach Tyler Johannsen. He says the standard hasn’t changed for Riverside despite many changes within the coaching staff and roster.

Johannsen is leaning on certain leadership within the roster to help the Bulldogs get where they need to be.

Cole Jeppesen and Peyton Amdor are both multi-sport stars and their experience in high pressure situations will also help the football team:

Coach Johannsen broke down what the Bulldogs offense could look like this year:

The Bulldogs open up their season tonight as they head to Red Oak for a Week 0 matchup at 7pm.
