Still no decision on a starting QB at Iowa

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says there has still been no decision on a starting qurterback. The Hawkeyes closed fall camp as the focus turns to the September fifth opener against Northern Illinois. Hank Brown and Jeremy Hecklinski are competing to become the starting signal. The Hawkeyes also need to decided on a starting kicker and punter.

Ferentz says it is possible both quarterbacks will play in the opener.

Ferentz was asked if the battle at quarterback has gone on longer than he expected.

Eventually a decision will need to be made on which quarterback will take the opening snaps against Northern Illinois.
