It was all Bulldogs on Homecoming Night as Riverside toppled Southwest Valley 55-0 on Friday night. Sophomore running back Mason Houser got off to a blazing hot start, scoring three touchdowns in the 1st quarter. He finished with 195 yards and five touchdowns in the blowout victory. Quaterback Peyton Amdor added to his nice season so far and also collected a rushing touchdown in the first quarter to make it 27-0. Riverside never looked back in the lopsided victory and had a running clock halfway through the third quarter. Other highlights included a punt return touchdown by Cole Jeppesen who also collected an interception. Riverside held SW Valley to just 38 total yards of offense. Kingston Carrigan also added a touchdown, his first of the season. Riverside moved to 4-1 and Southwest Valley dropped to 2-2 as both teams continue District play. Riverside Coach Tyler Johannsen is pleased with how the Bulldogs played on Homecoming night.
The run game has been a point of emphasis and sophomore Mason Houser has stepped up to the challenge.
