Riverside Boys Golf Looking to Repeat as Conference Champions

The Riverside Bulldogs Boys Golf team finished 2026 with an undefeated 16-0 Western Iowa Conference record and claimed the Conference Championship. They held a 28-11 overall record but fell just short of the state championship meet. They are returning 5 of their top 7 golfers from last season who are all entering their junior season. Head Coach Mitchell Rice wants his Bulldogs to win the conference again, but also to go deeper in the postseason.

Setting high standards not only individually but as a team has been an important part of the offseason:

Peyton Amdor led all Bulldogs in scoring in 2025, but it is the entire Junior class that Coach Rice is excited about. All five of them were in the top 6 in scoring for Riverside last season.

This is a group of boys that are very competitive and want to get the most out of each other. Coach Rice knows that their goal is to make it to state:

The Riverside Boys begin their defense of the Western Iowa conference title when they play in the Dale Erickson Memorial Meet at Crestwood Hills Golf Course on April 11th. Tee times scheduled for 9:00 am.
