The award recognizes an assistant coach whose leadership, preparation, and commitment elevate their program’s performance and positively impact the student-athlete experience.
Taylor Riggs is in his fifth season as an assistant with the women’s golf program, having been promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2023-24 season. During his five seasons in Ames, Riggs has helped the Cyclones to five-straight NCAA Regional appearances and a trip to the NCAA Championships in 2025. In addition to the postseason appearances, the Cyclones have set numerous school and NCAA records in his time in Ames. Last week, the Cyclones won the Big 12 Championship for the first time in program history.
