Reilly Heman Signs with Iowa Soccer

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Missouri State transfer Reilly Heman has signed a scholarship agreement with the University of Iowa women’s soccer program, head coach Dean Ward announced Thursday. Heman will have one season of eligibility remaining.

“We are delighted to welcome Reilly to Iowa,” said Ward. “She can play a number of positions providing versatility and athleticism to our attack. Her personality and competitive attitude will add to our environment.”

Heman previously spent three seasons at Missouri State where she was named to the MVC All-Freshman Team in 2023. The Springfield, Missouri, native was a third-team MVC Scholar-Athlete Team selection in 2024, a C-USA All-Academic team honoree in 2025 and was on the Honor Roll all four years.

During her junior campaign, Heman appeared in all 20 matches, making 19 starts and totaling 1,319 minutes. She scored five goals on 39 shots (13 on goal) and had three assists. In 2024, Heman appeared in 21 games with 11 starts finishing her sophomore season with 1,021 minutes. She recorded four goals, including the game-winner against UIC, while adding an assist on the season. She finished with 38 shots, putting 20 on goal.

In her rookie season, Heman appeared in all 19 matches with seven starts and she played 670 minutes. She scored her first collegiate goal against Oral Roberts. 

Heman attended Glendale High School where she was the Class 3 Offensive Player of the Year and a first-team all-state selection. She was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team while being named the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Girls Soccer Player of the Year. She played club for Kansas Rush 05, earning USYS ODP Interregional Team and Rush National Team laurels.

Heman’s father played collegiate football at Missouri (1990-91) and Missouri State (1992-94), while her mother played collegiate basketball at St. Mary’s (1990-93).
