The opening round of the Principal Charity Classic is Friday morning and it marks the 14th year the Wakonda Club in Des Moines has served as host. Ken McCullum is chairman of the board for the tournament.
McCullum says it has been a good partnership.

The course underwent a substantial renovation in 2024.
Kruger says the Wakonda’s location makes it a perfect host.
Kruger says the new spot on the calendar helped the tournament attract more of the top players.
