The Northern Iowa Panthers will get another chance to claim a first road victory this week with a visit to Southern Illinois. The Panthers are 3-3 overall after a 35-22 loss at sixth ranked Youngstown State.
That’s UNI coach Todd Stepsis, who is not concerned his team has lost confidence on the road.
Stepsis is looking for a way to get kicker Max Bartachek going. The native of Waukee is only three-of-eight in field goal attempts this season and had an extra point blocked on Saturday.
The Panthers are down two spots to 21st in the latest STATS FCS Top 25.
