Coming off a bye week, Northern Iowa returns to Missouri Valley action on Saturday by hosting fourth ranked North Dakota. The Panthers opened the league race by stunning Illinois State. The Fighting Hawks are 2-0 in the Valley after a 55-28 win over Murray State.
That’s Panther coach Todd Stepsis. North Dakota quarterback Jerry Kaminski is completing nearly 72 percent of his passes and has 19 touchdowns in the Fighting Hawks 5-1 overall start.
North Dakota averages better than 42 points per game and will be a challenge for the UNI defense.
Stepsis says the Fighting Hawks are good along the line of scrimmage.
The Panthers are 2-2 overall.
