Northern Iowa guard Greyson Uelmen (yool-min) says the Panthers were the right fit for him. The native of Minnesota entered the transfer portal after a freshman season at North Dakota in which he led the team in scoring at just under 17 points per game in being named second team All-Summit League.
Uelmen also led North Dakota in assists and is working this summer on limiting mistakes.
As one of eight new players on the roster Uelmen says building team chemistry has been a priority this summer.
Uelmen wants to Panthers to remain at the top of the Missouri Valley Conference.
UNI coach Kyle Green says Uelmen has been a great addition to the roster.
Green says Uelmen brings a competitive mindset to the court.
