Northern Iowa’s Ayden Price on the upcoming season

Northern Iowa receiver Ayden Price says 2025 was a big confidence boost for him as he prepare for his senior season. The former standout at Valley High School in West Des Moines began his college career at Iowa before transferring to UNI. He finished last season with 20 receptions, including two for touchdowns.

Price says those numbers have him confident as he gets ready for a new season.

The Panther offense looks to take major strides after averaging just over 17 points during last year’s 3-9 campaign.

After taking over as the start during the final four games of 2025, Jaxon Dailey is the likely starter at quarterback. Price says there really isn’t much difference in Dailey being a lefty.

Price’s biggest game came in a 17-14 win over Eastern Washington, when he had six catches for 135 yards and a touchdown. UNI opens the season on September fifth at Eastern Washington.
