Northern Iowa posted its biggest win under coach Todd Stepsis as the Panthers stunned third ranked Illinois State 28-21 to open the Missouri Valley Football Conference race in the UNI-Dome.
It was UNI’s first win over a top five team since back in 2021.
With the win, the Panthers improve to 2-2 on the season.
