Northern Iowa opens year two under Todd Stepsis at Eastern Wahington. Junior tight end Briggs Hughston (houston) is looking to help boost a UNI offense that averaged just over 17 points per game last season. Hughston appeared in 10 games as a sophomore and started five.

Hughston says going up against the Panther defense in fall camp was a good test.
