Northern Iowa basketball coach Kyle Green says the roster for next season is nearly complete. The Panthers have signed four players from the transfer portal, including for Tulsa forward Ian Smikle, Austin Peay swingman Tate McCubbin, Western Michigan guard Carson Vis and former North Dakota guard Greyson Uelmen.
Green says Smikle gives the Panthers much needed size along the front line.
Green expects all four to make an immediate impact.
The roster currently has 13 players. Green says he will add a 14th if he can find another big guy.
The Panthers lost several key players from a team that won the Missouri Valley Tournament and played in the NCAA Tournament.
