No. 18 Iowa prepares for UNI

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says tight end D.J. Vonnahme (voh-nah-me) will likely miss Saturday’s game against Northern Iowa after suffering an undisclosed injury in a 16-13 win over Iowa State. Vonnahme has six catches through the first two games of the season.

Running back Kamari Moulton is questionable after suffering an injury against the Cyclones. Hank Brown went the distance at quarterback against the Cyclones and Ferentz says there is a chance they will also use Jeremy Heclinski against the Panthers.

Iowa won on Saturday despite rushing for only 93 yards and Ferentz says opponents will try to limit the ground game going forward.

Ferentz says even in the age of N-I-L and the transfer portal FCS opponents remain dangerous. Already five FCS teams have posted victories over FBS foes.
